Cengkareng, Sunday, July 11, 2021 – Jasa Angkasa Semesta (JAS Airport Services) handled the arrival of three million doses of Moderna Covid-19 vaccine from the United States for Indonesia which arrived at the Soekarno-Hatta Cargo terminal, Tangerang Banten, Saturday (10/7) using Qatar Airlines plane.
The delivery of 3,000,060 doses of Moderna vaccine which weighs up to 29 tons is the first vaccine from Moderna to arrive in Indonesia because of the US government’s international cooperation through multilateral channels.
Previously, JAS Airport Services had also handled the arrival of 17.7 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine that had entered Indonesia since early February 2021.
To improve and support cold chain handling of Pharmaceutical products and perishable cargo, JAS recently added two Refrigerated Queue Lines (RQL) and a 1,800 m3 Refrigerated Enclosed Area (REA) in its cargo warehouse cold room facility.
As part of the international cold chain process through Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, JAS works closely with airport authorities and the cargo community, committed to high-end services and facilities to reliably handle and maintain the integrity of such cargo, especially vaccine cargo.
