More than 50 Years of Experience

The CAS Group’s development path began in 1973 with the founding of PT Cardig Air, an airport warehouse services provider located at Jakarta International Airport-Halim Perdanakusuma, now known as Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport. Later, in 1984, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport needed air transportation support services, so PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk (JAS Airport Services) was established and started operating that same year. JAS Airport Services played a pivotal role in offering all-inclusive ground handling and cargo handling services during this historical period.

In tandem with the burgeoning activities in the air transportation business, the year 2003 witnessed the establishment of PT JAS Aero Engineering Services (JAS Aero) to furnish aircraft repair and maintenance services. In parallel, JAS Aero forged a strategic partnership with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIA-EC). Furthermore, in 2004, JAS Airport Services made its foray into the capital market by listing its shares on the Surabaya Stock Exchange, concurrently embarking on a strategic partnership with SATS (Singapore Airport Terminal Services) Ltd.

In this span of time, the CAS Group has prudently established a strong base in the aviation sector by actively engaging in a number of aviation-related and warehouse services. The CAS Group’s positioning has been considerably strengthened through strategic collaborations with leading industry players like SIA-EC and SATS. This has allowed the company to skillfully navigate the complex dynamics of the global market.

PT Cardig Aero Services was founded in 2009 in response to the growth and expansion of commercial activity in the aviation services industry. PT Cardig Aero Services, Tbk. (CAS Group) then carried out its first public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on December 5, 2011, using the stock code CASS. PT Cardig Anugrah Sarana Catering (CAS Food Institutional Catering), a business that specialized in providing institutional catering services, was successfully acquired by CAS Group in the same year. Additionally, in 2012, PT Purantara Mitra Angkasa Dua (Purantara Inflight Catering) was acquired by CAS Group as part of its ongoing investment initiatives in the aviation catering sector. PT Cardig Anugra Sarana Bersama, which specialized in facility management services, was also founded in the same year.

These strategic changes and diversifications demonstrate CAS Group’s dedication to adapting to changing market conditions and offering more comprehensive services to a range of aviation and associated industry segments.

In 2023, JAS Airport Services has been operating at 9 major airports in Indonesia to provide ground and cargo handling services, while JAS Aero at 18 airports to provide aircraft repair and maintenance services. Throughout their journey, JAS Airport Services and JAS Aero have handled the shipment of over 200,000 tons of cargo, over 100,000 flights, and over 23 million airline passengers.

Conversely, Purantara Inflight Catering serves more than two million meal portions a year to passengers at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. CAS Food Institutional Catering serves over 3.5 million meal portions annually to the mining industry from its locations in several cities at Kalimantan.

The PT Jakarta Aviation Training Center (JATC), which provides aviation training services, was acquired by CAS Group in June 2017. JATC trained 889 pilots successfully, reaching its peak in 2021. The CAS Group is strengthening its service offering across several aviation-related industries and its auxiliary sectors with this expansion.
